Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
Conduct search and rescue operations using the appropriate equipment. Describe the organisation of emergency preparedness on offshore installations. Select and use the correct firefighting and protective equipment to extinguish fires. Explain the physiological stresses associated with search and rescue operations in hot and smoke-filled environments. Correctly use protective equipment and self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and perform safety inspections of the equipment.
