The objective is to provide everyone involved in lifting operations with knowledge of the NORSOK R-003 standard, “Safe Use of Lifting Equipment.”
The standard is intended to help maintain, establish, and further develop an acceptable level of safety for personnel, assets, and the environment when planning and carrying out lifting operations.
The target group
"Offshore: Operators of lifting appliances; personnel with technical and operational responsibility for lifting equipment; crane operators; banksmen and slingers; riggers; users of loose lifting equipment; and deck crew.
Onshore: Personnel who use lifting equipment or have roles and responsibilities related to lifting equipment and lifting operations."
