Two out of three bearing failures are caused by incorrect handling during installation or operation. In this course, you will learn how to do it the right way. The course spans 5 days and features an approximately 50/50 split between theoretical instructions in the classroom and practical exercises in our specially equipped ball and roller bearing laboratory. Participants are divided into groups and rotate through a series of tasks involving different bearing types and scenarios related to the mounting, operation, and maintenance of most bearing types and housing arrangements encountered in industry.

Accommodation

KRM normally arranges accommodation from the first to the last day of the course. If you need to change hotel arrangements, please contact KRM at krm@krm.no. Read more about the course and accommodation at www.krm

Technical Information

A course compendium and exercise booklet will be distributed during the course. Necessary protective equipment and workwear are available.

The goal

Upon completion of the course, participants will have knowledge of different bearing types and their applications, ISO standards, tolerances and fits, cleanliness requirements, and knowledge of the causes of common bearing damage. Participants will also acquire practical skills to apply this knowledge in selecting the correct tools for installation and disassembly of ball and roller bearings, performing proper lubrication, carrying out necessary measurements using appropriate instruments for optimal operation, and assessing bearing condition.

The target group

Operations and maintenance personnel, mechanics, automation technicians, electricians, etc.
