Upon completion of the training, participants shall be able to evacuate from a helicopter.
After completing the training, participants shall be able to:
Describe factors that contribute to flight safety. Describe the helicopter’s rescue equipment. Demonstrate the correct actions during a prepared/controlled and unprepared emergency landing on water. Describe the correct actions following an emergency landing on water when the helicopter remains upright. Describe the correct actions when evacuating from a helicopter underwater. Describe the risks associated with an emergency landing on water. Use a personal breathing device. Evacuate from a helicopter/simulator. Prepare a helicopter life raft for use in the water.

Personnel who will be transported by helicopter to and from offshore installations and vessels.
The topics covered
Procedures for helicopter emergency landings. Preparation for an emergency landing on water. Evacuation from a helicopter to a life raft following a controlled emergency landing. Evacuation from a helicopter simulator (“dunker”) while inverted and submerged underwater.
